Counseling that feels less like therapy and more like a conversation.

I'm Rhett Edwards, a licensed counselor in the Spring–Klein area of northwest Houston. I work with adults, teens, and couples through talk therapy, Brainspotting, and LENS neurofeedback — in person and online across Texas.

If this is you

You don't need the right words for it yet. Most people get here able to name only that something's off. See if any of this sounds familiar:

  • Your mind won't switch off — you're worn out and somehow still wired.
  • You understand exactly why you feel this way, and it still has a grip on you.
  • Something happened that you've never quite been able to shake.
  • The same argument keeps looping — at home, or just in your own head.
  • From the outside you're holding it together; underneath you're running on empty.
  • You can't point to one thing. You just know it shouldn't feel this hard.

If you saw yourself in any of that, you're in the right place.

The approach

You're not a diagnosis. You're a person with a story.

A lot of people picture therapy as lying on a couch being analyzed. That's not how I work. A session with me feels more like a real conversation — honest, unhurried, and grounded in where you actually are.

Alongside talk therapy, I offer two focused tools when they fit: Brainspotting, which helps the body release stuck trauma and anxiety, and LENS neurofeedback, a gentle, drug-free way to settle a nervous system that won't slow down.

The work

Life can feel like a mess of colors, cluttered on a canvas.

It's my job to help you see and use those colors to produce the beautiful mosaic that it is — so you can live with greater freedom. Therapy is an artform, unique to each person.
